It’s all Warriors at Wilkinson Relays

MARION – Ronnie Henderson crossed the finish line, and a chorus followed.

It came from a coach, and at least two teammates.

The message: “He’s back.”

Henderson won the 100-meter and 200-meter races and ran a leg on the victorious 800-meter relay as Cedar Rapids Washington stormed to the championship of the Wilkinson Relays Friday at Thomas Park Field.

DES MOINES — Thirty-four years, the Cedar Rapids Washington boys had gone without a relay title at the Drake Relays.

This year, in the immortal words of Alex Carr:

“We got three.”
