Rogers debut: 11 points in a win

I wasn’t there … just taking this off the boxscore provided by Kennedy.

Jade Rogers scored 11 points in her season debut, and the Cougars handled Iowa City High, 51-40.

Kennedy led 46-25 heading into the fourth quarter and moved into a virtual tie for first place with Cedar Rapids Xavier and Dubuque Wahlert.

Was at the game. Jade looked good, she ads so much to the Kennedy team. She gives them a lost post threat that they just don’t have without her.

Hope they continue to ease her back into things with limited minutes. With the quick wings Kennnedy has and Jade in the middle, they could be a serious challenger for a trip to State come tourney time.

How was her mobility and conditioning? One of my coworkers saw the highlights on TV and said her brace was humongous.

Even at 70 percent, she’s going to make the Cougars better. I think she’ll make them a threat too … just depends on the regional assignments.
