Stoakes to Kansas State

One of the most versatile girls’ track athletes in state history has signed a national letter of intent.

North Tama’s Sara Stoakes signed with Kansas State University on Wednesday.

Stoakes has captured eight state track championships, winning the Class 1A 100-, 200- and 400-meter titles last May, as well as running a leg on the triumphant sprint medley relay. She also captured the 1A individual cross country title last fall.
